The City of Plymouth received a light dusting of snow with some ice overnight.  The Department of Municipal Services pre-treated the City's major streets yesterday in advance of the overnight snow, which helped to keep the snow/ice from binding to roadway surface and creating ice.

Road crews returned to the roads at 4:00 a.m. and are currently focusing on treating the City's major streets, including Junction, Farmer, Harvey, Penniman, Ann Arbor Trail, Starkweather, and Main Street. Crews are also working on deicing the Central Parking Deck and other municipal parking areas at this time.

Residential side streets are snow covered and should be considered slick at this time. Persons who may be running or walking in the streets (not recommended) are advised to be sure to wear reflective gear and have safety lighting.

Persons with questions regarding this report should contact the Department of Municipal Services at DMS@plymouthmi.gov
