Another Bittersweet Night for the Flat Rock Police Department

Retirement happy 1000x667

Last night was another bittersweet night for the Flat Rock Police Department.

We said goodbye to Det/Lt Wieneke after retiring after 27 years of dedicated service to the police department and the citizens of the Flat Rock community. He also received honors for being named Officer of the Year for 2021. Good luck Wink.

And we said welcome to our police departments newest officer, Officer Dane Hunter. Officer Hunter grew up in the Ann Arbor area. After graduating high school went onto get his degree from Eastern Michigan University. From there he was hired by the Detroit Police Department, graduated from their academy, and has been working for DPD for the last 6 years. His badge was pinned to his chest by his wife Jayne and he was given his Oath of Office by Clerk Harrison. If you see Officer Hunter out and about, be sure to welcome him to our community. Welcome aboard Officer Hunter!!
