Allen Park Fire Department issued the following announcement on Feb 2.
OK folks, it's time to play "Adopt a fire hydrant"! Take a look outside. See one near your house? Doesn't have to be right in front of it. Please help keep a 3 foot clearance around it plus a path to the curb. I helps us when things are first rocking and rolling when we start fighting a house fire! And businesses, please be sure your plow drivers don't bury the hydrants with piles.
