City of Dearborn Heights issued the following announcement on Oct 26.
Warren Valley Golf Course will be 100 years old in 2022. This golf course, designed by famed architect Donald Ross, is an integral part of our watershed system and helps reduce local flooding. It also is a great place to have fun through the years and has been an important part of our City!
To help celebrate, the City of Dearborn Heights is doing an art contest, open to all school age kids in grades K-12. The prizes will be as follows: $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.
To enter: drop off a 2D piece of art (drawing, painting, etc.) to one of the Dearborn Heights Libraries by December 15th. Incorporate in the art a piece that contains elements of golf (ex: green, clubs, flag) and nature (ex: cattails, animals, water). Include a name, phone number, school, grade and address on a piece of paper with each submission as contact information.
The art may be used as promotional materials for the event, and we cannot guarantee the art will be returnable.
