City of Garden City issued the following announcement on Aug 9.
Wayne County Public Health has partnered with Mario Marrow & Associates to launch a door-to-door outreach campaign in an effort to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and reduce misinformation in the community. Specifically, Mario Marrow & Associates will be canvassing in communities throughout Wayne County.
Canvassers will be going door-to-door to provide an opportunity for residents to ask any questions they have about the COVID-19 vaccines and/or where it is available to receive. The canvassers will not be asking residents for personal, financial, immigration status, or HIPPA-protected information. Canvassers can be identified by their attire. They will be wearing blue and white t-shirts with Wayne County’s logo on it.
Wayne County Health Department COVID-19 vaccination clinics are continuing to provide no-cost vaccinations to residents aged 12 and older. Residents can call 1-866-610-3885 to schedule an appointment or visit //WayneCounty.com/COVID19 for more information about clinic locations and hours as well as walk-in vaccine opportunities.
