City of Dearborn Heights issued the following announcement on July 30.
The U.S. Small Business Administration is encouraging Dearborn Heights businesses and residents affected by the late June flooding to submit loan applications for physical damages even if they have not settled with their insurance company.
SBA disaster loans can cover the difference between an insurance settlement and what is needed to fully recover from last month’s event.
There are two centers in the city with helpful staff to offer assistance before the September 13 application deadline.
