City of Grosse Pointe Farms issued the following announcement on July 10.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) damage assessment team will continue assessing damage from the June 26, 2021 flood this morning. They began their assessment of Grosse Pointe Farms late Friday afternoon. The damage assessment team includes representatives from the Michigan State Police Emergency Management (MSP) , US Small Business Administration (SBA), and FEMA.
All team members are wearing clothing with their agency emblem on their shirt or vest and they are also wearing clearly visible identification and credentials. The FEMA team will be knocking on doors, speaking with residents and visiting businesses and homes in different areas of the City.
