City of Detroit issued the following announcement on Sept.19.
The City announced an expansion of the alley cleanup program and prepares to hire at least 20 additional Detroit residents to help.
The city also plans to work in partnership with registered block clubs and neighborhood associations to identify alleys needing to be cleaned, as well as maintain the alley cleanups throughout the year.
