"The Frank Beckmann Show" guest host Chris Renwick recently spoke with Laura Cox, Chair of the Michigan Republican Party, about the "Women for Trump" movement and how Michigan voters she has met during a bus trip around the state are reacting to the 2020 presidential campaign.

Cox told Renwick that presidential candidate Joe Biden’s choice of Kamala Harris as a running mate did nothing to endear the Democratic ticket to her.

"She is a California liberal that’s out of touch with the Midwest and Michigan specifically,” Cox told Renwick. “She’s a radical Democrat. She wants to raise our taxes.”

Cox said that Harris’ support for the Green New Deal is a direct threat to the economic health of the state. "It would decimate our agriculture and manufacturing sectors,” Cox told Renwick. “She’s just terrible for Michigan.”

Cox also said that Harris’ call to do away with employer-provided health care is a slap in the face of Michigan’s union workers who have fought hard for the benefits packages they now enjoy.

Also, as someone who has previously worked for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Cox said that Harris’ comparison of the entire agency to the Ku Klux Klan was offensive.

"I find that insulting to all the men and women that are protecting our borders and making sure that our communities are safe,” Cox told Renwick.

Cox said that the "Women for Trump" bus has been successful in enabling her to talk to Michigan residents about what they feel has been an effective administration and why people should re-elect President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

"He’s putting America back to work,” Cox told Renwick.

Cox said that she and the other women who are on the bus are excited to tell Michigan voters about not only what Trump has accomplished during his time in office, but also what he plans to accomplish in the next four years.

By talking to people about what they feel is most important and directing them to the policies that support what they believe in, Cox said that "Women for Trump" has had great success in gaining support for the president's campaign.
