Vice President Kamala Harris, recently endorsed by President Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee for the upcoming president election, said young people ages eighteen through twenty-four are “stupid.”
“What else do we know about this population, eighteen through twenty-four?” Then California Attorney General Harris asked in a video from a 2015 symposium hosted by the Ford Foundation. “They are stupid!”
“That is why we put them in dormitories and they have a resident assistant,” Harris continued on. “They make really bad decisions.”
Harris was speaking about a program she launched as the San Francisco district attorney to reduce repeat offenses from drug dealers, both the 18-24 year old age range as well as those up to the age of 30.
Vice President Kamala Harris was endorsed by President Joe Biden when he announced he was dropping out of the Presidential race on July 21. She is now endorsed by many political leaders within the democratic party to be the presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Race.
The younger demographic historically skews to the political left, as an April poll from Harvard University shows, with 18-29 year olds favoring the Democrat party over Republican party 45% to 37%.

Kamala Harris was elected as the first female Vice President alongside President Joe Biden in 2020. Before being elected as Vice President, Harris served as the District Attorney of San Francisco, the Attorney General of California, and as a U.S. Senator from California.
