City of Detroit issued the following announcement on Sept. 6

On Monday, September 9  – Friday, September 27 from 9:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Lafayette between Chene and McDougall is closed for major road work. The bus detours for the #5 - VanDyke/Lafayette; #67 - Cadillac/Harper; and #89 Villages are as follows: 

Eastbound and westbound: Service runs on E. Jefferson between McDougall and Chene.
