State Senator Michael Webber, a Republican from Rochester Hills, welcomed Dr. Nicole Hamp, Chief Health Officer for the Autism Alliance of Michigan, to the state Capitol on Wednesday. Dr. Hamp attended as Webber’s guest during Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s 2026 State of the State address.

Webber currently serves as co-chair of the Autism Advocates Caucus. He has been involved in efforts to improve access and reduce barriers for individuals with autism who are seeking employment. Webber is also working to reinstate the autism navigator program in the state budget, which provides important services to families across Michigan.
