The Detroit Red Wings have assigned forward Elmer Söderblom to the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League. Söderblom, a 23-year-old player, participated in 26 games for the Red Wings during the 2024-25 season, accumulating 11 points, a plus-two rating, and six penalty minutes. His average ice time with the team was 13:22.

During the same season, Söderblom also played with the Griffins, recording 17 points and a plus-four rating in 38 games. His previous season with the Griffins was noteworthy as he achieved career highs across various statistics. Over the 2023-24 season, Söderblom played 61 games, scored 13 goals, and made 16 assists, contributing significantly to the Griffins' advance to the Central Division Finals.
