Detroit City FC will conclude March with a match against Louisville City FC on Saturday afternoon. The game, set to begin at 4:00 p.m. at Lynn Family Stadium, can be streamed on ESPN+ and viewed locally on CW Detroit 50 (WKBD-TV). Michigan residents can access the stream for free via CBSDetroit.com.

Detroit City FC, commonly known as Le Rouge, comes into the match following a 2-2 tie against Birmingham Legion FC. Last weekend, Darren Smith netted a goal in the 20th minute, giving Detroit the lead at Keyworth Stadium's 2025 opener. Birmingham responded with a deflected shot in the 27th minute. Ben Morris restored Detroit's lead in the 33rd minute, but an unfortunate own goal by Stephen Carroll in the final moments left the match tied.

Detroit City has remained unbeaten in their last 12 matches, a streak extending back to the previous season, with their last loss occurring on August 24th against FC Tulsa.

Louisville City FC recently claimed a 2-0 victory over Loudoun United last weekend. A 26th-minute header by Ray Serrano put them ahead, and Taylor Davila solidified the win with a 76th-minute free-kick goal.

Both teams have similar records in the 2025 season, each with two victories and one draw. However, Detroit leads in goals scored, with six goals, compared to Louisville's five.

Saturday's matchup will be the tenth meeting between the clubs. Louisville leads the series 5-2-2, with both draws in the US Open Cup ending in Louisville victories through penalties. Last season, Louisville beat Detroit City 5-1 at Lynn Family Stadium. Detroit's Matt Sheldon initially scored, but Louisville responded with five consecutive goals. Detroit later avenged this loss at Keyworth, winning 2-1, thanks to Connor Rutz's decisive second-half goal.

Following the match against Louisville, Detroit City will return to Keyworth to face Monterey Bay FC from the Western Conference. The game will kick off at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are available at www.detcityfc.com/tickets.
