The Detroit Red Wings have announced the recall of forward Carter Mazur from the Grand Rapids Griffins, their American Hockey League affiliate. The 22-year-old has accumulated 15 points in 20 games this season with the Griffins, showing a strong performance with 11 points in his last 11 games.

Mazur's previous season was notable as he ranked among team leaders in several categories, including goals and assists. He played a key role in helping the Griffins reach the Central Division Finals during the Calder Cup Playoffs. Since being drafted by the Red Wings in 2021, Mazur has amassed a total of 58 points over his AHL career.

Before joining professional ranks, Mazur had an impressive collegiate career at the University of Denver. He earned accolades such as AHCA Second-Team All-American and NCHC Rookie of the Year while contributing to Denver's championship victories. His earlier years included time with Tri-City Storm and participation with Team USA at international championships.
