Detroit City Football Club has announced the appointment of Elisa Baeron as the new Sports Performance Coach for the first-team staff led by Danny Dichio. Baeron, a long-time defender for Detroit City FC, made her debut with Le Rouge during the 2021 UWS season and has been part of the team for three seasons in the USL W League.

Baeron's career began at Michigan State in 2019, where she worked as a graduate assistant to Olympic Sports. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning from Michigan State and transitioned to working with both men's and women's basketball teams.

Between December 2021 and July 2023, Baeron served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach at Oakland University. During this time, she oversaw various sports before returning to Michigan State. Her final role there was as Assistant Director of Athletic Performance, where she worked directly with the women’s soccer team.

In college, Baeron played over 1,700 minutes across 50 matches for Bowling Green State University while majoring in exercise science. Originally from Selsingen, Lower Saxony, Germany, she also participated in both arena league seasons for Detroit City FC.
