The Detroit Red Wings are set to face the Boston Bruins at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday night. The game, which starts at 7 p.m., will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit Extra and the Red Wings Radio Network. This marks the first time this season that the Bruins visit Detroit.

Marco Kasper emphasized the importance of playing in "Hockeytown," stating, “The fans always show up." Fans attending the game early will receive a Red Wings-themed Zamboni Gravy Boat, courtesy of Meijer.

Detroit aims to continue their home-ice success following a 2-1 victory over the New York Islanders. Jonatan Berggren and Lucas Raymond scored crucial goals in the third period to secure the win. Kasper reflected on their recent performance, noting, “We always talk about taking care of home ice... A huge win for us.”

Berggren has been finding his form with three goals in his last five games. He commented on his progress: “I had kind of a rough start points-wise... I knew the goals would probably come if I kept doing the right stuff.”

Head coach Derek Lalonde indicated minimal changes to their lineup against Boston, with Justin Holl returning. “We’re going to go same forward group, but get Justin Holl in,” Lalonde stated.

Boston arrives after ending a three-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over Utah Hockey Club under interim head coach Joe Sacco. David Pastrnak leads Boston's offense this season, supported by Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm.

Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo achieved his second shutout recently and has shown solid performance statistics. Jeremy Swayman, who secured an eight-year contract earlier this year, also contributes significantly despite mixed results.

Lalonde acknowledged Boston's strong defense and goaltending: “They’ve had success... it’s still keeping the puck out of the net.”
