Detroit City FC announces initial roster changes for 2025 USL Championship

Detroit City FC has released its initial roster updates following the end of the 2024 USL Championship season. As preparations for the 2025 season continue, additional announcements are expected in the coming weeks.

The club confirmed that several players will return for the next season under existing contracts. These players include Rhys Williams, Alex Villanueva, Dominic Gasso, Carlos Saldaña, Stephen Carroll, Devon Amoo-Mensah, and Ben Morris.

Additionally, Detroit City FC has exercised options on forwards Connor Rutz and Jeciel Cedeño. However, Ryan Williams' player option was declined, though discussions are ongoing regarding his potential return.

The club also announced that options were declined for Elvis Amoh, Daniel Espeleta, and James Murphy. Furthermore, Victor Bezerra, Laurent Kissiedou, and Abdi Salim will be returning to their parent clubs.
