The Detroit Red Wings are set to conclude their four-game road trip with a match against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center on Monday night. The game, scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT, will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network.

Moritz Seider emphasized the importance of the upcoming game, stating, "[Monday’s game is] the biggest one of the whole trip. We want to get a .500 road trip here. We all got to put it together for 60 minutes today. No matter what, we just got to come out with two points."

The Red Wings are aiming to bounce back after a 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Dylan Larkin scored Detroit's only goal in that game and has accumulated 13 points in 17 games this season.

Detroit head coach Derek Lalonde acknowledged the challenges of the road trip but expressed optimism about finishing strong. “Obviously [day off on Sunday] was important probably both mentally and physically, but we need to go tonight," he said. "This is an opportunity...to get out of this road trip 2-2."

Injury updates from Lalonde indicate that Simon Edvinsson and Michael Rasmussen are expected to play against San Jose after missing Saturday's game due to injuries.

The Sharks currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference’s Pacific Division and recently ended a four-game road series with a 4-3 overtime loss against Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mikael Granlund leads San Jose in assists and points this season, while rookie Macklin Celebrini has shown promise despite being sidelined by injury earlier in the season.

Patrick Kane praised Celebrini's skills, noting his offensive creativity and potential as a top center in the league.

San Jose's goalie Mackenzie Blackwood holds a record of 3-5-3 with one shutout this season. Lalonde described facing San Jose as challenging due to their high compete level and young talent.
