Detroit City FC is preparing for its final home game of the 2024 regular season, hosting Miami FC in an Eastern Conference matchup. The game will take place at Keyworth Stadium with a kickoff scheduled for 4:00 PM EDT. Fans can watch the match live on ESPN+ or locally on CW Detroit 50 (WKBD-TV). Michigan supporters have the option to stream it for free online.

A victory for Detroit City FC could position them close to securing a top-four finish in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference. They would then need either Tampa or Indy to lose points later that evening to ensure a home playoff match, which would be a first for the team.

Detroit City FC recently secured their spot in the playoffs following a goalless draw against Indy Eleven. This marks their third consecutive appearance in the USL Championship playoffs. In their debut playoff year, they were defeated by Memphis 901 FC in the quarterfinals, and last year they reached the semifinals after defeating Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC but lost to Louisville City FC.

Miami FC is experiencing a challenging period, having failed to earn any points or score goals in their last six matches. Their most recent game ended in a 4-0 defeat against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, during which center-back Junior Palacios received a red card and will miss the upcoming match against Detroit City.

Miami FC announced that Head Coach Antonio Nocerino has departed from his role, with Marcello Alves stepping in as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Miami sits at the bottom of the table with only 11 points this season and is far from playoff contention.

Since losing 4-0 to Detroit City in June, Miami has played 15 matches but managed only one win against Monterey Bay FC. During this period, they scored eight goals while conceding 40.

Detroit City will conclude their regular season next Saturday against San Antonio FC. Tickets are available through their official website.
