DETROIT – Detroit City Football Club has announced that midfielder Dominic Gasso has been loaned to Huntsville City FC of MLS Next Pro. Gasso will join the team on loan until the end of the season.
Dominic Gasso competed for Le Rouge at the 2022 USL Academy Cup in Tampa, Florida, before signing with the club on an Academy Contract. He eventually made his debut in the USL Championship toward the end of the 2022 season, playing against Charleston Battery.
In 2023, Gasso initially returned on an Academy Contract but earned his first-ever full-time professional contract, which is also the longest in club history at four and a half years.
Gasso played a pivotal role in the club’s 2023 playoff match against Pittsburgh Riverhounds, scoring the match-winning goal that secured Detroit City FC its first playoff win since joining the USL Championship.
In total, Gasso has made 24 appearances for Detroit City FC since 2022, most recently participating in the club’s International Friendly against Pumas UNAM on June 22, 2024.
