Under the leadership of President Biden and with the support of Congress, substantial infrastructure investments have been directed towards empowering and strengthening small businesses within Congressman Thanedar's district and the state at large. These investments are instrumental in fostering economic growth, job creation, and promoting the success of small business owners.

These investments include over $144.3 million for public infrastructure projects in Michigan's 13th District through unprecedented efforts to prioritize infrastructure. This will result in $83.4 million for airport infrastructure, $25.5 million for roads, $25 million in local/regional grants (RAISE), $3.5 million for Detroit River restoration, and $6.9 million for buses/facilities. The new investments also include an additional $1.6 billion in funding for private investments, which has already created over 2.1k new jobs in clean energy industries. These investments will benefit the small business community, creating jobs and fostering a favorable environment for growth.

Congressman Thanedar remains committed to driving economic opportunities by supporting these vital infrastructure initiatives. With personal experience after building his businesses for over 25 years and creating 500 new jobs in the state, he understands the challenges involved.

"As a former small business owner, I know that infrastructure is critical for our district's economy,” stated Congressman Shri Thanedar, “The impact that these substantial investments will have on our once crumbling infrastructure cannot be understated. It is an extraordinary opportunity to revitalize our communities, create jobs, and foster a thriving environment for small businesses to thrive.”

During the press conference, Congressman Thanedar and Small Business Administrator Isabella Guzman and Mitch Landrieu will highlight the investments made in the district and state, detailing the positive outcomes and opportunities created for small businesses. They will emphasize their commitment to continuing to advocate for and secure further investments to foster economic growth, job creation, and support the dreams of small business owners in the district and state.
