Job Description:
Full-time police officer trainee position with priority given to residents within the City of Ecorse. The police academy begins January 2023.
Residency within 20 linear miles from the city lines required. The training proposal includes up to 720 hours (18 weeks) of paid wages and benefits during the academy and an additional 360 hours (9 weeks) of paid field training (FTO) within the City of Ecorse.
Benefits include employer medicare, defined benefit hybrid plan (police only), health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retiree health savings program, uniform cleaning and gun allowance.
