City of Plymouth recently issued the following announcement.
The Plymouth Community Shred Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Plymouth Township Hall, 9955 N. Haggerty Rd. This event is open for all residents of the City of Plymouth and Plymouth Township.
PAPER SHREDDING
Each vehicle may bring up to five file-sized boxes or bags for shredding.
ELECTRONIC RECYCLING
Accepted Electronic Items
cables, cable boxes, cash registers, computers, copiers, cords, DVD players, external drives, fax machines, keyboards, laptops, LCD monitors, mice, tablets, phones, printers, power supplies, projectors, satellite dishes, scanners, servers, typewriters, UPS units.
Accepted Household Items
blenders (no glass), blow dryers, bread makers, cameras, coffee makers (no glass) clocks, fans, flat irons, fryers (no oil), heaters, holiday lights, irons, lithium batteries, metal tools, microwaves, mixers, remotes, radios, stereo equipment, toaster ovens, vacuums
Non-accepted Items
air conditioners, backup tapes, cassettes, CDs. CRT monitors/TVs, dehumidifiers, DVDs, e-cigarettes, floppies, Freon containing items, gas cylinders, household batteries, light bulbs, liquids, medical equipment, smoke detectors, used toner, VCR tapes.
