Census Bureau: More women than men in Detroit in 2019

Of the 674,841 people living in Detroit in 2019, 52.6 percent (354,948) were women and 47.4 percent (319,893) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Detroit City Wire.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 216,960-to-197,768. In the 65 and over age range, there were 54,098 females and 37,563 males.
