Graduates earn 115 degrees, certificates from Sacred Heart Major Seminary

About 85.2 percent of the 115 degrees and certificates handed out by Sacred Heart Major Seminary in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Detroit conferred 60 master's degrees and 37 certificates in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in theology/theological studies. Data shows the school gave out 60 master's degrees in theology/theological studies, followed by 36 certificates in theology/theological studies and 17 bachelor's degrees in philosophy.

The seminary enrolled 480 students for 2017-18, including 293 in undergraduate programs and 187 in graduate programs.
