Graduates earn 287 degrees, certificates from the College for Creative Studies

About 81.9 percent of the 287 degrees and certificates handed out by the College for Creative Studies in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Detroit conferred 218 bachelor's degrees and 17 master's degrees in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in industrial and product design. Data shows the school gave out 74 bachelor's degrees in industrial and product design, followed by 47 bachelor's degrees in animation, interactive technology, video graphics and special effects and 43 bachelor's degrees in illustration.

The college enrolled 1,485 students for 2017-18, including 1,417 in undergraduate programs and 68 in graduate programs.
