UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL: 2020 Fall Sports Registration Now Open

University of Detroit Jesuit High School issued the following announcement on April 21.

To all potential FALL of 2020 Scholar-Athletes entering grades 7-12:

The U of D Jesuit Athletic Department is registering students for fall sports: Cross Country, Football, Soccer, and Tennis. All scholar-athletes are required to register prior to the beginning of team activities. The fall sports registration period is open today through April 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. You will receive a registration confirmation email after the registration period closes.

FALL SPORTS Q&A

Q: What are the fall sports offered at the high school level?

A: High school sports include Cross Country, Football, Soccer, and Tennis.

Q: What are the fall sports offered at the Academy (7th-8th Grade) level?

A: Academy sports include Cross Country, Football, and Soccer.

Q: Do I need to be registered with the Athletic Department before I can begin a fall sport or tryout?

A: Yes, before any activity with a team can begin, a scholar-athlete must be registered with the Athletic Department.

Q: When do the fall sports begin?

A: Typically, there are several organized activities to prepare for the fall season throughout the summer. Given the current pandemic it is unclear what the summer schedule will look like for all schools. Registration will allow us to update you on schedule changes as they progress. At this time the Michigan High School Athletic Association start dates for fall sports are as follows:

· Football: August 10, 2020

· Cross Country: August 12, 2020

· Soccer: August 12, 2020

· Tennis: August 12, 2020
