Detroit Public Schools Community District issued the following announcement.
1.) Distance Learning - Distance Learning materials are now available for all grade levels, PreK-12, on our website at detroitk12.org/DistanceLearning. Printed packets will be available beginning Wednesday, April 22. Visit, https://bit.ly/PacketLocations for a downloadable photo to share.
2.) School Closure FAQ - DPSCD has an extensive FAQ that addresses many questions we have gathered since the COVID19 crisis began. Please read through the questions and arm yourself with factual answers to help others. Visit detroitk12.org/SchoolClosureFAQ
3.) Virtual Meetings - Microsoft Teams will be used for virtual meetings and calls during the school closure, visit the Hub for directions or see the FAQ for details on use.
4.) STEAM Enrichment Activities - Each week we receive supplemental academic information that is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) focused, visit detroitk12.org for a fun activity in every grade level, from new yoga moves to learning a new language. Let's have fun with learning!
5.) Support During COVID-19 - This is a very burdensome time for many as they cope with the pressures of COVID-19, there are many support resources for you and your families. Visit detroitk12.org/Covid19 for emotional and mental support.
