Calling all local construction, professional services (accounting, janitorial) business owners! Join the Great Lakes Women’s Council, CEED Lending Loan Program and Wayne County Human Relations Business Inclusion Division for a day of specially designed business readiness and hands on programming. Learn about upcoming bid opportunities, the Wayne County Department of Public Services, the Gordie Howe Bridge project and more.

Track 1 consist of two workshops designed to assist fledgling business owners focus on specific basic business acumens. Workshops provide hands on lessons that will result in a better understanding and begin the next steps to complete this needed business function. Each participant may choose between two business skill sessions in the 1st workshop “Ready”.
10:45am 12:20pm Track 2 “Willing & Able” (ADVANCED) Track 2 is designed for the more established business owner that has a Statement of Capability, EIN number, filed all business paperwork with the State and wants more information regarding certifications business cash flow, bonding and or loans. First Independent Bank will be on-site to provide information on their new loan program with CEED Lending.
LOAN PROGRAM
CEED Lending Program in Partnership with First Independence Bank are presenting loan program focused on those businesses looking for products outside of traditional lending.
PRE-QUALIFICATION
10:45-11:45 “Leveling Up” Match Making Meetings
This is by invitation only (once you register), for businesses that are truly ‘Ready, Willing and Able” they will skip the workshops and go to the “meet the primes/developers/Procurement. Businesses will be placed in either business/trade groups session or one on one “business alignment meetings” and have the opportunity to talk directly to primes, hear details of upcoming bids, ask questions, pitch their business and gain access to many of the decision makers for viable projects and bids.
Upon registration, businesses will be asked a series of questions and asked to bring the following documents with them to the workshop to qualify for the “Leveling up” sessions.
- Statement of Capabilities
- Copy of insurance endorsement sheet
- Copy of Bond letter
- Copy of Certifications
