Nigerian striker Chisom Egbuchulam has signed a one-year contract with Detroit City FC. Egbuchulam, 33, brings experience from playing in several countries including Sweden, South Korea, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. He began his career with Enugu Rangers in Nigeria before moving to Swedish top division club BK Hacken in 2017. During his time at Falkenbergs FF, he scored 14 goals in the 2018 Superettan season.
Egbuchulam also played for Suwon FC in South Korea’s K League 2 and Meizhou Hakka in China’s League One. In 2021, he scored 20 goals for Meizhou Hakka and helped the team secure promotion to the Chinese Super League. Most recently, he was part of Hatta Club in the UAE Pro League and Al-Jandal in Saudi Arabia.
