Senate Republican Leader Aric Nesbitt of Porter Township released a statement on Wednesday in response to Senate Democrats’ recent press conference that questioned the priorities of Republicans.

Nesbitt criticized the actions of Senate Democrats, stating, “After a two-month vacation, Winnie Brinks and Senate Democrats came back to Lansing to move a bill out of committee designating an official state duck. Forgive me if I take their lectures on priorities with a grain of salt.”

The comments from Nesbitt come after Senate Democrats returned from a recess and focused legislative efforts on symbolic measures.
