County of Wayne issued the following announcement on Mar 28.
The Wayne County Treasurer’s Office will offer extended hours this Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, the office will be open until 6:30 p.m., and on Thursday, March 31, 2022, the office will be open until 8 p.m. Appointments and masks are required.
If you are facing foreclosure for property taxes for 2019 and prior years, you must get into a payment plan or pay the delinquent taxes in full no later than March 31. Payment plans are available on-line at the following link.
The Wayne County Treasurer’s Office will be closed to the public on April 1 so that staff can process drop box and mail payments to ensure that all tax payments are properly applied.
