Detroit City Football Club announced the continuation of its partnership with Detroit Medical Center (DMC) through a long-term sponsorship, facilitated by Sports Revenue Advisors. This renewed agreement maintains DMC’s role in offering medical services to Detroit City FC’s professional men’s team, the women’s USL W League team, and the Major Arena Soccer League Women teams.

DMC will remain a key Legacy Partner and take on the role of presenting sponsor for the club’s Training Report video series. The health system’s logo will be featured on training jerseys, which will also be available for fans.

The partnership, which began in 2020, has seen DMC play an essential role by providing medical care to support the team. Sean Mann, CEO of Detroit City FC, stated, “We are deeply committed to the health and well-being of our players, and Detroit Medical Center has been an invaluable partner in providing exceptional care for our team. Their medical support ensures that our players are at their best, both on and off the field. As we continue to grow as a club, we are excited to strengthen our partnership with DMC and look forward to many more years of working together to support the continued success of our athletes and the future of Detroit City FC.”

For the past five years, DMC has offered support to Detroit City FC, providing a full-time athletic trainer, Maureen Lilla, from the DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. The partnership also includes medical professionals, Dr. Brandon Kakos and Dr. Chase Ansok, who offer tailored support for players. DMC Group CEO Brittany Lavis added, “As a leader in Metro Detroit in injury prevention and cutting-edge rehabilitation services, DMC ensures those who need us in the region have the best care available. We’re excited about our continued relationship with the team and look forward to this year’s soccer season.”

Providing physical therapy, injury rehabilitation, and training plans, Lilla’s work exemplifies the services offered by the DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and DMC orthopedic experts across the community. Detroit Medical Center also extends its support to local athletes through specialized programs for high school sports.

The partnership between Detroit City FC and DMC is set to play a vital role in the club’s trajectory, continuing to provide essential medical services for keeping players in peak condition.
